The Secret to Gaining Good Deeds Out of Everyday Actions

By setting your intentions behind everyday actions for Allah, you can gain benefit from these actions and make them a continuation of your devotion to Allah. With only small changes to your life, you can make your intentions behind many everyday actions for Allah, and get good deeds from them. That is the power of this technique. It's simple and practical.

Just like you intend to pray for Allah, you can intend other actions for Allah, even things like sleeping or eating. This is something you can make use of immediately, to gain good deeds from setting intentions behind your actions.

So many everyday actions could be a source of good deeds for you. This is how:

It's simple. Like you intend prayer for Allah, you can begin to intend other actions in your life for Allah. For example, reading a book, exercising, having fun, sleeping, going to work/school, and eating.

Reading a book: Seeking knowledge for the sake of Allah.

Relaxing: Relaxing with the intention of making you refreshed to give you the ability to worship Allah and do beneficial things.

Going to work/school: Seeking knowledge for the sake of Allah / making a contribution to the world for the sake of Allah.

Eating: To replenish your energy to be able to worship Allah.

Once you remember your positive intentions for these actions, you can just remember to intend them before doing these actions.

Try doing this with other activities and you will likely find that it is easy to give them good intentions. Now, try this: think of some activities that you do very often and assign a good intention to each one. Try to go for 3 activities.
